The DTA240 is a digital TV antenna created by August International, specialists in portable digital TV reception. With a standard coaxial connection, it can easily be used with almost any portable or living room TV. It allows reception of VHF frequencies 174-230 MHz and UHF 470-860 MHz. The DTA240 is ideal for receiving both digital terrestrial television broadcasts and DAB radio.

Magnetic base

Use the antenna's magnetic base to attach it to metal surfaces. This is an effective way to increase signal strength. Literally any metal surface can be used to attach the antenna: a fridge, an empty biscuit tin or even a metal bed leg.

What does high gain antenna mean?
High gain antennas have a different signal search pattern than standard antennas. A high gain antenna will search at a farther distance and with a greater orientation than a standard antenna. So adjust the orientation of a high-gain antenna and you will find the direction will provide a signal from a much greater distance than a standard omnidirectional antenna. A high-gain omnidirectional antenna combines both functions to search for channels over a wider range and provides TV even in locations very far from signal transmitters.

Why am I not receiving any channels?
After connecting your antenna, remember to re-scan/tune your receiving equipment. Place the antenna near a window or outside, away from electronic interference and fix it to a metal surface using a magnetic base. Also remember to point the antenna in the direction from which the signal is strongest.

How is the antenna powered?
The DTA240 is connected to the receiving unit and needs no additional power supply. It will work straight out of the box, without charging. Please refer to the descriptions of the DTA425 and DTA300 for information on powered, amplified antennas.

Does the antenna work with 4K TVs?
The DTA240 will deliver a digital terrestrial TV signal to any TV using a standard coaxial antenna cable. If your TV supports 4K resolution, the DTA240 will deliver a clear HD signal to the TV just the same as any other. Please bear in mind that your decoder (Inbuilt or set top box) as well as the channel you are watching must both support 4K.
