The August DTA240 aerial is designed for digital reception of HD Freeview. With a standard coaxial connection, it is compatible with all televisions that have integrated Freeview, and all external Freeview set top boxes. It can also be plugged into a USB TV stick to watch TV on a computer or tablet.

Portable TV Aerial

Compact and lightweight, the aerial is perfect for portable TVs and USB TV receivers. It does not take up space and is very discreet whether in your living room, bedroom or even in a motorhome. With only 14cm of height this portable antenna can be easily oriented to save space and fit in any bag.

Magnetic Base

This digital aerial is equipped with a magnet on the foot to increase the capacity and the quality of reception. When connected to large metal surfaces, it offers a very good image on the screen. The 2 meter cable gives you the freedom to place the aerial wherever is best. It is advisable to place it near windows or rooftops to increase functionality.

Ideal Freeview Frequencies

It receives VHF 170-230MHz and UHF 470-869MHz frequencies which is ideal for DVB-T and DAB broadcasting. With an impedance of 75 ohms and a solid gain of 3 dBi. This indoor aerial decrypts and retransmits the digital signal to the Freeview tuner of your TV and allows you to watch your programs faithfully. It is compatible with all formats 720p, 1080i, 1080p, but also HD or 4K.

Access all main channels in UK. The antenna can also receive the equivalent of Freeview in other countries when you use it abroad (TNT, TDT ...). Watch many programs made for all tastes. What is High-Gain?
High Gain Aerials have a different search pattern to standard aerials. A high gain antenna will search further and with more direction than a basic aerial. So, readjust and reorient your High Gain aerial and you will find a direction that provides signal far further away than a standard omnidirectional aerial. A High Gain omnidirectional aerial combines both features to scan for channels in a wider range and provide you TV even in remote locations.

Why can I not see channels?
Please ensure you rescan/retune your source device when you connect our aerial. Please place the device near a window or roof, away from electronic interference and attached to a magnetic object of decent size (A biscuit tin will do!). Please also orient the aerial around you and attach it in a way that faces the particular direction that signal is strongest.

How do I power the Aerial?
The DTA240 is connected to the source device and needs no further power. It will work straight out of the box with no recharging. For powered, amplified Aerials please see the DTA425 and DTA300 devices.

Does this work with a 4K TV?
The DTA240 will give Freeview signal to any TV with a standard coaxial aerial cable. If your TV supports 4K the DTA240 will deliver crisp 4K signal to the device and allow you to maximise its potential.
