The VGB400 is a refined and simplified recording device which views and records your VHS tapes, vinyl audio, retro gaming and camcorder footage in real time! The device features RCA audio-visual inputs and modern HDMI output so you can watch your tapes on the big screen as you record to make sure you're saving every moment.
Record with the tap of a button and create highly flexible MP4 files which you can store, share and copy to send off online or in-person. Spread the love, embarrass your kids with childhood footage or just neatly store decades of VHS tapes on secure, non-deteriorating USB drive. You are free to record and store as you see fit!
NO PC Required
For the first time, we have manufactured a capture card for VHS preservation which doesn't need a computer! This no PC capture card ensures that you can save your precious memories with just the original VCR, camcorder or cassette player and a USB stick! Supply these components and plug them in to record at the press of a button.
The VGB400 therefore has no driver or software downloads, leaving you free to decide which USB or Micro SD storage you like.
RCA / AV Cable and USB-C Power Cable Included
The VGB400 VHS to USB converter needs to be connected via RCA /AV cable to your AC / SCART devices and will record them in real time. Connect retro games consoles or VCR players into the audio video inputs. Make sure the VGB400 is charged via the included USB-C Charging cable.
Please Note an AV and USB-C cable are included to ensure your device can connect and function. However, you will need a USB Stick or Micro SD card storage solution to save the recordings, and an HDMI cable to view them in real time. Please use your preferred storage method and your current TV / Monitor HDMI cable for easy set-up
VHS to Mp4 Digital Files
Once powered up, plugged in and with a USB or Micro-SD storage solution the output file is MP4 format. Convert VHS to USB and edit, share or store these versatile MP4 files however you choose. A whole host of modern editing software accept MP4 files as well as being suitable for emailing, uploads to Facebook or X and more.

Do I Need My Own HDMI Cable?
If you wish to view your footage on a TV or monitor as your record, you must supply your own HDMI connection. However, it is possible to record without the HDMI connected but be aware you will not be able to see the recording unless your connected player has a display (For example, a camcorder)
How Do I Know It's Recording?
There is a Recording Status LED as well as a Power LED. Please ensure the device has power and then monitor the Recording Status LED to check it is recording.
How do I change between SD Card and USB stick?
Please never connect an SD card and USB simultaneously. This will ensure the device records to the correct storage solution.
